Pricing for Large Storage Containers (40' Long)

We regularly survey BuyerZone users to ask how their purchases went. We've provided a sampling of responses from businesses that paid for large storage containers (40' long). You can also read responses from companies who purchased small storage containers or special-order storage containers.

Most large storage containers measure 40' long and provide 3,340 cubic feet of storage space. Since it can be difficult to reach items stored in the back of a 40 footer, you may need to add extra doors on the back or side of the container to easily access your materials.

Typically, you have three options when shopping for 40' storage containers. You can buy new storage or shipping containers if you can afford the up-front expense and need units that last several years. To save money, you can find refurbished containers for 20% to 30% less that include many of the same benefits as new units. If you'd prefer to pay as you go, you can rent containers and have them delivered to your site and picked up when you're done with them.

With all purchasing options, you need to consider other expenses which can add to your costs like shipping, installation, and pickup, or add-on features such as air vents or extra side doors.
